Maroso

Moroso Supernatural chair

by Ross Lovegrove, 2005

The organic evolution of form.

A multisensory design that calls out to be stroked, interpreted through touch and constantly re-processed. Its sinuous lines reach out into the space around it. Solids and voids, absences that become presences when they encounter light, air, the human body.

Description

The holes in the backrest, like a perforated screen, create enchanting games of light and shade, like the dappling of sunlight through tree leaves. Versatile, light, and very durable: Supernatural shakes off the usual role of a prestigious object of design to become part of daily life, be it in the home or in public spaces.

One-piece reinforced polypropylene. Seat pad: heat-molded flame-retardant fabric bonded to foam. Chairs can be stacked up to 8 high.
